Biography

The story of Grim Lieberkind begins in the year of 2004.

After having played music based on acoustic guitars for some years, Oscar, Mads and Henrik form the idea of Grim Lieberkind, as the urge to play rock’n’roll reappears for the three young men.

Soon they start to create ideas and write new songs. In this creative process studio recordings are an essential tool, and the recordings take place in the headquarters in Falster, approx 60 miles south of Copenhagen.

Eventually they decide to move the project to the next level becoming an actual band, but lack a bassist and a drummer.

Morten - with a past as a bassist in various hard rock and metal bands - is recruited at a local music festival, and when finally Sune - the drummer of their former rock band Single Sex Society (Helicopter Records) - is asked to join, the quintet is completed.

Thus, Grim Lieberkind are:

It is not easy to describe the ideas that ground the universe of Grim Lieberkind, but the creative core seems to be driven by an urge to investigate some obscure factors of life - and it’s all mixed with plain lust for rock'n'roll.
